Nacho's first injury in his career cannot have come at a worse time. He went down against Las Palmas on March 31 - it's an injury to his right thigh - and he is not due back in training for at least another week.
He is now in the final stages of his recovery, almost ready to rejoin the group, but if he is fit to face Bayern next week it will be without much game time under his belt.
Zidane has not taken a second glance at Achraf since the Copa del Rey debacle against Leganes, but everything points to a return for the Moroccan right back.
He's only started one game since, against Espanyol, and played in one more, although that too was with Nacho out injured.
It is also unlikely that any of the starting players will be risked and big changes are expected. Vallejo, Theo, Llorente and Kovacic will all likely start the game.
Cristiano Ronaldo will sit out ahead of the return leg of the Champions League semi, and the same could happen to Varane, Casemiro, Modric and Kroos.
Zidane might not want to risk Lucas Vazquez either, who would be the other emergency option at right back should Carvajal not make it back.
