Following Isco's phenomenal display against Manchester United in the UEFA Super Cup, ESPN revealed that the Premier League outfit could have signed him before he joined Zidane's team.
In 2013, when Isco was still at Malaga, the Red Devils were following him closely and were willing to sign him. However, they pulled out at the last minute, and the reason is rather strange.
'He's good, but not quite quick enough and his head is too big for his body', the scouting report said about the talented midfielder. Finally, he joined Real Madrid that very year.
It came towards the end of Sir Alex Ferguson's tenure, and United missed out due to concerns over the player's proportions. Over time, Isco has established himself as one of the best players in Spain and Real Madrid.
