The English side who haven't won at home for a whole year

Sunderland, currently in the Championship, need to beat Fulham on Saturday if they want to avoid their winless run at the Stadium of Light extending to over a year.

Their last victory which the home fans got to celebrate was when David Moyes' side beat Watford 1-0 in the Premier League back on December 17.

Unsurprisingly given their miserable home form, the Black Cats have since been relegated from the Premier League. Simon Grayson was unable to bring a home win during his three-month spell in charge at the Wearside club at the start of this season, and new boss Chris Coleman didn't manage to take all three points in his first home game against Reading earlier this month.

Despite the shocking run of form in the own backyard, the Sunderland fans are still turning out in high numbers, with average attendances of around 28,000, the third-highest in the Championship.

They have already broken the record for the longest run in English football without winning at home, and Chris Coleman's side will be hoping for a victory against Fulham on Saturday to stop the wretched run stretching to over a year, and help propel them out of the relegation zone.
