Rochdale: Keith Hill will be without Scott Wiseman, Alex Dobre, Billy Knott and Sam Hart, with all four being cup-tied, having played for other teams in previous rounds of this year's FA Cup.
Striker Calvin Andrew is also out of action due to an Achilles injury, along with Niall Canavan (ankle) and Keith Keane (groin).
Tottenham: The main news is that Spurs' key man Harry Kane is a doubt, having suffered a twisted ankle. Michel Vorm is also not a guarantee, due to a minor illness. If Kane does miss out, it will most likely see Fernando Llorente handed a start.
The other big news is the probability of a full debut for new signing Lucas Moura, who arrived in January from Paris Saint-Germain. Toby Alderweireld is back in contention, after missing Spurs' midweek game against Juventus.
Spurs are expected to field a fairly strong side, with their squad-depth meaning players such as Son Heung-min and Danny Rose could start.
Rochdale boss Keith Hill:
"We've got a very good young squad. A lot of these players I believe can play at a higher level and this is an opportunity to show that they can at least compete against what is an outstanding Tottenham side.
"To get to the fifth round for only the third time in the club's history is already an achievement but we move on quickly and we're planning for trying to win against Tottenham.
"It's highly unlikely but we have to plan to be successful."
Hill also spoke about the recently resurfaced pitch, which was installed after complaints from Mauricio Pochettino after the previous round. "The pitch probably would have stood up to the weekend's fixture but the club have gone the extra mile, they've invested heavily in a brand new surface, which should befit Tottenham and ourselves alike", he said.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino:
"What is important is to forget what happened in Turin or against Arsenal.
"We don't have time to enjoy that we won the derby, or our draw in Turin and how we played in the Champions League on Tuesday night. This is a different game, a different competition and it will be tough.
"For me it will be a tougher game than Juventus or Arsenal because it is a challenge to be motivated in a competition that we want to go far in, but you have to perform at your best if you want to win."
The 'Spurs' boss also referenced the pitch, apologising for his earlier comments.
"I want to apologise to the people in Rochdale and the chairman and the people who took my comment the wrong way", he said. "My comment was about the care, first of all for the Rochdale players, our players and the competition that all of England watches on TV."
"Now, when I watch the pictures and the videos through the Rochdale website, I need to congratulate them because the effort was massive to get the pitch in the best condition to play without risk."
