It is clear that the bond between club and player remains strong, depsite the Brazilian having moved on for pastures new two years ago.
"It's impossible to say that I wouldn't go back, I would return to Barca if they called me," he admitted.
The now PSG full-back also admitted that the way his eight-year spell at the Camp Nou came to an end left a bitter taste in the mouth. "If I said that it didn't hurt, I would be lying," he said.
"I think I fought a lot to create a great story at Barca, and to deliver results that even the club hadn't expected.
"I left with 23 trophies in eight years. I ended up giving them great results and they failed to respect my story," he recalled.
That is why "afterwards they wanted me to have a goodbye and I said no, because for me there will be my eternal home, so when you consider a place to be your home, you do not have to say goodbye," he concluded.
