Jack Webster explained the story to Reddit, “So to begin with, and please don't kill me, I'm a Chelsea fan through and through. But today amazed me from how special Arsenal is,
“So some back story, a couple of weeks ago, my mum was hit by a car walking home from a friends house and some hours later, she sadly passed away. My brother and basically my whole family are Gunners and always have been.
“One of my close friends got in touch with Arsenal and told them about what happened and they got back to him, sending us a letter of condolence and signatures from the players. Coming home from school and seeing how happy my brother and my father were was incredibly happy to see and changed the mood drastically.
“From this act, I have gained so much respect from Arsenal and Wenger, if he actually wrote the letter or not, it's the thought that counts. It amazes me that such a big club like Arsenal had the time to send us a letter and signatures all the way to Australia to cheer my family up, unlike Chelsea and my local club, the Newcastle Jets, didn't write back. You’re incredibly lucky to have such an generous board. :)”
