Vitoria SC made their Europa League debut against the club owned by the Red Bulls with a well-deserved 1-1 draw at home to the Austrian side.
But the most striking thing happened before the start of the game. Throughout the history of the Champions League or Europa League, a team has never lined up with eleven players born outside of Europe.
Nine South Americans and two Africans were in the team named by Pedro Martins and they have etched their name in European competition history.
