The Champions League group stage draw will take place in Monaco on Thursday afternoon.
Pot 1 is made up of the holders and champions of each top eight-ranked nation.
One surprise name among Europe's elite is Spartak Moscow. The Russian champions will join the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Chelsea and Monaco in the top pot.
They are seeded ahead of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Paris St-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, Manchester City, Porto and Manchester United, who all feature in pot 2.
