Messi's wrath against Juve's stability

Leo Messi wants revenge. Barcelona were knocked out by Juventus in last campaign's Champions League quarter-final, and Messi intends to begin the new season the only way he knows how: by winning.

Juventus have begun the season with a 100 per cent record. Their football is not the most convincing, but the results are. They also have Dybala, who came on against Chievo to score and give his side three points.

Allegri's team, who have won every point in play in the Serie A, were the ones to beat Barcelona in last year's Champions League. The 3-0 scoreline in the first leg created a breach in Luis Enrique's era. 'I will never forget the first half in Turin', the Asturian manager stated.

Messi, Suarez and even Neymar weren't able to find a way through Juve's defensive wall in the return fixture. The Italian champions did not sweat and the stalemate was enough to see them through to the semi-finals.

If Allegri's side have sealed a perfect start, Barcelona have equalled their feat in La Liga. Following a disappointing display in the Spanish Supercopa and their discouraging dealings in the transfer window, Messi has taken the helm at the Camp Nou.

Acting as a striker, scoring five goals in three matches, as well as hitting four balls against the woodwork, Barcelona are returning to life. Improvements both in attack and defence could only get better with Dembele's contributions.

The 2017/18 Champions League gets underway on Tuesday at the Camp Nou with a riveting clash between Barcelona and Juventus. Messi is eager to make fans forget about the hefty defeat last season and Juventus remain as solid as ever.
