The transfer window may have closed without Barcelona getting their man but in the offices at the Camp Nou there is no doubt that Coutinho remians the club's main target.
According to Spanish publication 'Sport', Barca have maintained contact with the player's agents as they attempt to convince Liverpool to part with the player in the January transfer window.
And it appears as though Jurgen Klopp's side may be prepared to cede to the Catalans' wishes, with the aformentioned source reporting that the 'Reds' are willing to do a deal that would see the Samba star swap Liverpool for Barcelona either on January 1 2018 or next summer.
The player has already made it clear that he would like to have the opportunity to play for Barca, but that alone wasn't enough for the English side to allow the player to leave. However, almost a month after the window closed, it appears that Liverpool officials may finally be coming around to his way of thinking.
This latest development could finally see the playmaker get his move, though Barca are refusing to get carried away, having been confident that they would get the player in the summer, only to end up disappointed.
