According to reports in the 'Mirror', Liverpool have made the first move in their bid to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The paper reports that Liverpool have made an enquiry for the 23-year-old, with manager Jurgen Klopp said to be an admirer of his talents.
The 27 cap, England international has just one year to run on his current contract with the 'Gunners' and with rumours that negotiations over an extension have ground to a halt, Arsenal are rumoured to be prepared to sell the player they signed from Southampton for an initial £12m six years ago.
Arsenal are thought to want more than double that fee now, with talk of a £25m asking price. Not that that would put off either Liverpool or Manchester City, who are also understood to be keeping an eye on the situation.
