The Welshman had previously told the press that the England international had been given time off due to being mentally and physically 'jaded'.
That led to widespread concern, with the player have endured problems with depression earlier in his career after the loss of his child.
However, Pulis has been quick to allay the fears and revealed on Saturday that the midfielder will return to the West Brom squad for Monday's match after missing the games against West Ham and Manchester City.
Speaking ahead of the game Pulis said: "Everything is fine with Jake, he just needed a couple of days off. There was nothing else to it. He's available for Monday.
"Maybe I should have just said he had a hamstring injury and that would have stopped all the press and speculation of this and that. Maybe I've learned my lesson.
"We do have one or two knocks but with a couple of days to go, hopefully they'll be okay for Monday. We'll assess them.
"Arsenal are a top team with top players, we're going there knowing it'll be a tough game on Monday. But we look forward to it.
"Kieran (Gibbs) will look forward to it, I'm sure he'll get a great reception from supporters there as well. He's done very well here."
Veteran midfielder Gareth Barry will make his 663rd Premier League appearance, beating Ryan Giggs' record, if he features on Monday but Pulis is confident that the former England man will only have his eyes on the three points.
"Knowing Gareth he'll be more concerned with trying to win a game of football. It's a remarkable achievement, he deserves it," said Pulis.
"Gareth is such a down to earth chap he just wants to get it over with and move on."
