Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has pleaded with fans to remain 'calm', promising that things can be turned around with patience.
The Welshman has endured a dip in form in recent times, and has certainly heard as much from the stands, becoming a prime target for taunts and jeers.
Though the 28-year-old impressed in midweek at home to APOEL in the Champions League, setting up Madrid's first goal, other performances have been harder to take for the Bernabeu faithful.
Zinedine Zidane's European champions face a four-point gap from table-topping Barcelona already, having succumbed to two draws at home in quick succession.
Bale has, however, received the backing of his French manager, and has himself urged patience amidst the dip in Madrid fortunes.
"We need to be calm and take it game by game," Bale said at an 'Adidas' event in Madrid.
"We had a great start with the two titles, but we want to keep winning. Our goal has not been achieved yet and we want to win everything.
"We were the first team to win two Champions Leagues in a row and now there is the motivation to win a third."
The Welshman also took to Instagram to post a picture of him smiling with fans in Madrid, writing: "Great to meet the fans today in Madrid!"
